Flint River Land Trust

I painted this for a fund raising event the local land trust organization hosts here in Huntsville, Al. I am proud to say this piece found a new home and helped to raise funds for land preservation. Which is an important cause for all of us to think about. Thanks for looking.

Drought

I have been really busy working on some commission pieces. My show went well and the paintings are selling, for which I am so grateful. I need to get back in the groove and catch up on my daily blog postings. I am sorry I have been lax about it. Tonight I am taking 2 plein air paintings (will post later) to a preview party for a Land Trust Auction to be held in late October. It should be fun.  We are having perfect weather for plein air painting and I hope to get out there and paint next week.I need to take some pictures around town as well. This painting is of an old water tower, the kind you still see in many small towns across the country. They are disappearing fast though. 12x16 oil on linen.
